In this unit students will learn to interpret the meaning of selected poems found in our anthology. For some students this is a very new skill, since much of their previous experience focused on writing poetry. Poetry techniques are analyzed and identified within these works and will also be applied to original poetry students will write.

A final project, which will assess what they've learned, will complete the unit.
