Welcome to Journalism at Vermillion High School! This class is primarily a production class where students are actively involved in all stages of publishing two school newspapers and the school yearbook. The focus of the first six weeks is to gain the skills, both writing and technical, needed to be able to accomplish this. Students will be responsible for photo assignments, layout assignments, story assignments, editing and story revision, selling advertising, and meeting all deadlines.

The school publishes the Vermillionaire on a monthly basis, while RAW News is published weekly.

Because the school productions are seen by the general public, a high standard must be met in this class for final copy. Grades in the class are earned by doing quality work and meeting deadlines.
